Our Leadership
-
Christopher Seiwald is an entrepreneur and lover of the arts. He founded and led Perforce Software, based in Alameda, California, for 21 award-winning years, growing it into a company adopted by some of the most innovative and influential companies in the world. Ever thankful for the people and communities who helped him along, in his post-CEO life he has focused on giving back through angel investing and philanthropy — founding Radium Arts to bring live performance to his hometown of Alameda, and continuing to lead the organization as Board President as it grows from Radium Runway toward a permanent home for the arts at Alameda Point.

Jonathan Moscone has spent more than 30 years leading in the arts, most recently as Chief of Civic Engagement and Producer at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and, before that, as Executive Director of the California Arts Council, the state's official arts agency. From 2000 to 2015, he served as Artistic Director of California Shakespeare Theater, growing the company from a $2.1 million local festival into a $5 million nationally recognized regional theater. A Yale School of Drama MFA and the first recipient of the Zelda Fichandler Award for “transforming the American theater,” Jonathan now serves as Artistic Director at Radium Arts, bringing that same track record of ambitious, community-rooted programming to Alameda Point.
-
Rachel is a community builder, coalition maker, and creative strategist who believes that arts and activation can transform underutilized spaces into places people genuinely want to gather. With a career rooted in placemaking, civic engagement, and arts advocacy, she has spent more than a decade bringing together unlikely partners and helping communities build their own stories. Since 2021, she has served as Manager of Operations & Community Engagement at Radium Arts, a 501(c)(3) performing arts nonprofit producing and presenting live performance, community programming, and public gathering at Alameda Point.
Where It Began
Radium was founded in 2017 on a simple belief: Alameda deserves a permanent home for the performing arts. That belief led Founder Christopher Seiwald to commission the original vision for a state-of-the-art performance venue and begin years of work with the City of Alameda toward making it real. In 2026, the City granted Radium an option to lease a future site at Alameda Point — a meaningful step forward.
Already Underway
Radium didn't wait for that vision to be complete to get to work. Since launching Radium Runway in 2024, we've welcomed Circus Bella, San Francisco Opera, community festivals, and intimate concerts — turning a stretch of long-vacant land at Alameda Point into a home for live performance. We'll keep iterating and evolving here, season by season, as we continue working toward a permanent home.
One day, that original vision will have a home of its own. Until then, we're building the community that will fill it.
